Universities are big organisations with a large pool of personnel to serve the students and community and therefore, good management of manpower is critical for organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Following the previous four workshops on university management planning, the last workshop discussed the human resources management (HRM) in Istanbul on 16th and 17th November 2014.

Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava revealed the HRM in a progress manner, from the national legal framework to university HRM strategies and finally, the focus was placed on the operational level at the administrative level.
Besides sharing the model in Slovakia, exercises and discussion were conducted to understand the HRM in Libyan universities as well as the difference between private and public universities.
